Wellness Center To Host Artist Bernadette Keleher

Come to Nurturing Hands Massage & Saunafied to meet Bernadette Keleher, artist and  25-year Cancer survivor.

Keleher remembers her earliest drawings being of the P40 Warhawk.  Her father George Gunner helped to design the P40 fighter plane used in WW2.  She was encouraged to draw as a young first grader by her teacher. “When I was finished with my school work I was allowed to look out the one room schoolhouse and draw the birds at the bird feeder”.

Keleher studied under many well known artists in the states and also England. She has taught art classes in the Adirondacks as well as all over western NY.

Painting has helped me thru many difficult journeys during my life including surviving breast cancer and the grieving of the loss of her husband and two children.  “When I paint I find nirvana, a sense of calming and peace. I feel like I enter an altered state of consciousness or another dimension. I feel High on art and forget about the present”.

Keleher will be displaying her transparent watercolor paintings of flowers and botanicals.  She will also have lithograph prints and cards on hand.

Please join us on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 10am-3pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 12pm-8pm with a reception from 6pm-8pm on Friday.  At Nurturing Hands Massage and Wellness Center, 640 Kreag Road, Suite 202. Pittsford.
